State insurance that pays ~70-80% of your salary for up to 2 years if you lose your job.

The Golden Safety Net. BUT: You must have worked in Switzerland for at least 12 months in the last 2 years to be eligible. If you arrive and get fired in Month 3, you get NOTHING.

The Penalty Days (Einstelltage): If you quit voluntarily or get fired for bad behavior, the RAV will punish you by cutting your payments for 1-3 months.
Salary Cap: Insured salary is capped at CHF 148,200. If you earn CHF 300k, your unemployment money is calculated on the 148k cap.
