Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Expat-Services.ch platform and the professional services accessible through it. Last updated: March 2026.

01

Scope of Services

Expat-Services.ch is a digital platform operated by Expat Digital Group LLC (Albuquerque, NM, USA). The platform serves as an information hub and scheduling interface that connects international residents in Switzerland with verified professional service providers.

The platform facilitates access to the following service categories: relocation assistance, immigration guidance, housing search support, tax and pension consulting, and insurance advisory.

Insurance Services Disclosure

All insurance brokerage, advisory, and placement services are provided exclusively by Lang + Partner Finanzdienstleistungen GmbH (Aesch ZH, Switzerland), a FINMA-registered Non-Tied Insurance Intermediary under Art. 45 VAG (Registration No. F01067278). Expat Digital Group LLC does not itself provide, arrange, or intermediate insurance products.

By using this platform, you acknowledge that Expat-Services.ch acts as a digital interface and not as a regulated financial intermediary. The contractual relationship for insurance services is formed directly between you and Lang + Partner.

02

Client Obligations & Integrity

By engaging with our platform and the services offered through it, you agree to the following obligations:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and truthful personal and financial information when requested by service providers.
  • Promptly disclose any material changes to your circumstances that may affect ongoing advisory relationships or insurance coverage.
  • Use the platform and its services exclusively for lawful purposes and in accordance with Swiss and applicable international law.
  • Refrain from any attempt to misrepresent your identity, residency status, or health information in connection with insurance applications.

Failure to meet these obligations may result in the termination of services and, in the case of insurance contracts, may void policy coverage retroactively.

Limitation of Liability

Expat Digital Group LLC provides the Expat-Services.ch platform on an "as is" basis. While we strive to ensure accuracy and reliability, we make no warranties or representations regarding:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information presented on the platform, including insurance premium comparisons and regulatory guidance.
  • The availability, quality, or outcomes of services provided by third-party professionals listed on the platform.
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the platform or any linked third-party services.

Liability for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. The liability of Lang + Partner for insurance advisory services is governed separately by their own terms of engagement and Swiss financial market legislation.

04

Professional Remuneration

Consultations facilitated through Expat-Services.ch are offered to end users free of charge. There are no hidden fees or direct costs to the client for scheduling or receiving advisory sessions.

How we are compensated

Lang + Partner, as the insurance intermediary, receives commissions directly from insurance carriers upon successful policy placement. These commissions are standard industry practice in Switzerland and are built into the insurer's premium structure — they do not increase the premium you pay. Expat Digital Group LLC may receive referral compensation from Lang + Partner or other service providers listed on the platform.

This remuneration model ensures that our advice remains accessible while maintaining full transparency. You are entitled to request detailed information about commission structures from Lang + Partner at any time.

05

Applicable Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service and any disputes arising from or in connection with the use of the Expat-Services.ch platform shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of Switzerland, excluding its conflict of law provisions and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Zurich, Switzerland, subject to mandatory statutory provisions providing for a different place of jurisdiction.

For matters specifically relating to insurance intermediary services provided by Lang + Partner, the applicable regulatory framework is the Swiss Insurance Supervision Act (VAG) and associated FINMA ordinances.
