ReloNest is a relocation company with its office on Kappelistrasse in Zurich, founded in 2023 by Micaela Paz, who also runs it as managing director. She is an expat herself and brings close to 20 years of experience in the relocation industry and in account management, and that background shows in how the business is organised: one relocation consultant per transferee, clear timelines and a named account contact for companies. The firm is a full member of SARA, the Swiss Association of Relocation Agents, and of EuRA, the European relocation association.
Rather than covering the whole country from one desk, ReloNest works with local consultants and lists nine cities: Zurich, Zug, Basel, Bern, Lucerne, Fribourg, Lausanne, Geneva and Lugano. The company reports twelve relocation consultants, around 590 relocations so far and nine languages spoken across the team. That spread helps if, for example, your job is in Geneva but you are looking at homes around Lausanne, or your company is sending several people to different cantons at once.
The services follow the usual destination-services sequence. A preview trip shows you candidate neighbourhoods based on where you will work and where the children will study, together with typical rents and housing standards. The school search explains the local and international options, includes visits to up to three schools and helps with the application; ideally it comes before the home search so that address and school line up. For housing, the team can book a serviced or furnished apartment for the first weeks and then run the long-term search, from pre-selected listings and accompanied viewings to the application, the lease and the move-in protocol.
On the administrative side, the immigration team handles work permits, family reunification, business travel and long-term assignments. Settling-in help covers registration with the local authorities, a bank account, the driving licence exchange and insurance. At the end of a stay, the departure service deals with lease and contract cancellations, utilities, the exit inspection and deregistration, all of which affect whether you get your deposit back. Most Swiss leases can only be ended on fixed dates with about three months' notice, so if you leave early, ReloNest can find the replacement tenant your landlord will ask for. For the move itself, it gathers two quotes from removal firms and coordinates with the one you pick.
Companies get a single account manager, and transferees also get access to NestOnline, the company's own relocation platform. You can reach ReloNest Zurich through the contact form, by email, by phone or on WhatsApp.
