Besides English, they also work in French, Spanish, German and Italian. Every profile shows the services, languages and contact details, checked by hand before going live.
The practices below are general-practice and family-doctor practices in the city of Geneva, plus four in Carouge, Meyrin and Troinex, that confirm English themselves: an English website, an explicit statement, or a team page listing English for the doctors. We checked each practice’s own website and the federal register MedReg for a Geneva practice licence (Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH/BAG), checked ).

The table gives each practice’s area, languages, published new-patient position and out-of-hours arrangement.
English is confirmed in three ways. Four practices publish an English version of their site or pages: Cabinet médical Tour de Lyon, Centre Médical Krieg, Centre Médical de Montbrillant and Centre Médical Eaux-Vives. Medimeyrin says it in words (“Nous parlons français, anglais, allemand, italien, espagnol”), and the other fourteen list English in the doctors’ language lines on their team pages. The doctors we checked hold a licence “Granted” in MedReg for the canton of Geneva: the English-listing GPs named on each practice’s pages (Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH/BAG), checked ).
On new patients, only Centre Médical Krieg says on its own site that it takes them; the Geneva medical society (AMGe) flags a doctor as accepting at eleven more practices, a flag that belongs to the individual doctor (Association des médecins du canton de Genève (AMGe), checked ). Groupe Médical 21, Montbrillant and Archimed Nations state that they see patients with or without an appointment, and Eaux-Vives opens adult slots from 16:00 the evening before (Centre Médical 21 SA, checked ) (Centre Médical de Montbrillant, checked ) (Archimed Groupe Médical, checked ) (Swiss Medical Network, checked ). Walk-in centres are listed with all doctors and dentists in Geneva.

In the canton of Geneva the Centrale Santé Genève, 0800 116 117, is free and answers around the clock, every day, to assess symptoms and direct callers to the right service when their own doctor is unavailable. For a threat to life the number is 144. The HUG adult emergency department takes people over 16 around the clock.
Of the 19 practices, eight name an out-of-hours arrangement. Five Arsanté centres show the network’s emergency points: Carouge Monday to Friday 7:30 to 19:30 and weekends and holidays 8:00 to 18:00, and Onex every day 7:00 to 22:00 for adults and 9:00 to 21:30 for children (Arsanté network, on the Centre Médical de Plainpalais site, checked ). Eaux-Vives names a paediatric on-call service (Swiss Medical Network, checked ), MB8 links to hospital emergency departments, and Carougénéralistes offers an answering machine and e-mail. Twelve publish nothing.
Basic insurance pays GP care once the insured person has covered a standard yearly deductible of CHF 300, with children exempt, plus a 10% retention fee on the rest, capped at CHF 700 a year (CHF 350 for children). Family-doctor models lower the premium but require seeing the GP first, except in emergencies.
Centre Médical Eaux-Vives states that its outpatient services are reimbursed by basic insurance at the tariff of the Geneva public hospitals (Swiss Medical Network, checked ).

MedReg, the federal register of medical professions, is public. It shows each doctor’s cantonal practice licence, titles, work address and recorded language skills. A language is entered only on proof of level B2 and the entry is voluntary, so a missing English entry proves nothing. The practices’ own pages carry the English evidence here.
Nineteen practices in Geneva, Carouge, Meyrin and Troinex state on their own websites that English is spoken, among them Cabinet médical Tour de Lyon, Centre Médical Krieg and Centre Médical Eaux-Vives with English pages, and Medimeyrin with the line “Nous parlons français, anglais…”.
As published in October 2026, only Centre Médical Krieg says on its own site that it welcomes new patients. The Geneva medical society’s directory (AMGe) flags at least one doctor as accepting at eleven more practices; the other eight say nothing.
