Zollikon's school administration (Schulverwaltung, Alte Landstrasse 76, 044 396 37 50) is open on Monday from 09:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 16:00 and on Tuesday to Friday mornings (Schule Zollikon, checked ). Primary school is split between the units Oescher, with more than 580 children and six decentralised kindergartens, and Rüterwis, while the Sekundarschule Zollikon-Zumikon at Buechholz teaches about 270 young people (Schule Zollikon, checked ) (Schule Zollikon, checked ). Three private schools in Zollikon and Zollikerberg are on the Volksschulamt's register, two of them marked bilingual German–English (Volksschulamt, checked ).
The Betreuungshäuser at Oescher and Rüterwis are open on school days from 07:00 to 18:30 (Friday until 18:00) and in eight holiday weeks from 08:00 to 18:00, with freely chosen modules and catered lunches (Schule Zollikon, checked ).
